Payout pool split explained
Short Answer
The payout split applies to the competition pool, not directly to your simulated account profit. Your simulated result helps decide whether you qualify and how the pool is shared.
The Simple Version
Think about it in two layers:
- The competition creates a payout pool.
- Eligible traders share that pool under the product rules.
That is different from saying, "I made $1,000 in the simulated account, so I automatically receive $900."
Where 90/10 Fits
Tradesera uses a 90/10 split for the relevant product payout or winner pool after any product-specific reserve or excluded fees. It means 90% of that pool can be shared by eligible traders, while 10% is retained by Tradesera.
MNQ Scale Cup and NQ Showdown still have different qualification paths, so always check the selected product rules before assuming the payout process works the same way.
What Is Not Included
The payout pool does not usually include every dollar collected at checkout. Items such as Rithmic/Data Fees, payment processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, wallet credits, and non-entry fees can be excluded from payout pool math.
Why Simulated PnL Still Matters
Simulated PnL can affect:
- Qualification.
- Ranking.
- Size unlocks.
- Profit Lock eligibility.
- Relative share of a winner pool.
It does not automatically become a dollar-for-dollar payout.
